Balochistan is Pakistan’s largest province by land area, yet it remains one of the country’s most socially disadvantaged regions. Despite its rich cultural heritage and natural resources, persistent economic and structural challenges continue to hold communities back.

Independent assessments indicate that over 60% of the population lives below the poverty line. This reality is even more severe when factoring in housing quality, healthcare access, education, and basic services. Across many districts, families face long-term hardship due to below-average access to clean water, healthcare availability, employment opportunities, and literacy levels.

The Reality in Quetta

In Quetta, a rapidly growing population is intensifying these social and economic pressures. A large proportion of households here experience multidimensional poverty, meaning they struggle not only financially, but also to maintain basic living standards, education, and health.

For many families, daily life is a constant battle. They face rising living costs coupled with limited income opportunities. They regularly experience:

  • Difficulty affording regular meals.
  • Limited access to quality educational and religious institutions
  • Insufficient healthcare services.
  • A severe lack of safe, structured spaces for youth development.

Our Vision: A Center for Worldly and Spiritual Relief

Masjid Khayrul Wara is stepping up to change this reality. We are building more than just a place of worship; we seek to establish a comprehensive community centre that serves both the worldly and religious needs of the people.

Our holistic vision for the centre includes:
  • A Masjid: A central hub for worship and community unity.
  • A Community Kitchen: Serving hot, daily meals multiple times a day to those in desperate need.
  • A Madrassah: Providing structured Islamic education for both children and adults.
  • Youth Programs & Mentoring: Offering positive direction, leadership development, and a safe space for the next generation.
  • Counselling & Support: Providing dispute resolution and counselling grounded in Islamic principles.
  • Community Spaces: Dedicated areas for social support, education, spiritual development, and essential religious guidance.

Tying specific dollar amounts to tangible outcomes helps donors visualize their impact.
