Distributing Soon: Food Packs, Hygiene Packs and Resettlement Packs. Learn More
Lebanon rarely stays in the headlines for long.
But for the families living through it, the crisis doesn’t end when the cameras leave. Israel still occupies land in South Lebanon, and a fragile ceasefire hasn’t stopped the disruption – communities who have already endured decades of conflict and economic collapse are losing homes, losing land, and losing the lives they’ve managed to rebuild and preserve.
We are witnessing the latest chapter in a story that has repeated for generations.
Through our partners on the ground in southern Lebanon, we’re listening first – every distribution begins with communities telling us what they need most.
These packs weren’t designed in our office. They were designed by the families who need them.
Our team on the ground works directly with displaced communities in southern Lebanon – asking what’s actually missing, not assuming it. Every pack reflects what people told us they need to get through this, not what we guessed from a distance.
Provide the staples of a Lebanese kitchen. Rice, lentils, and chickpeas for the dishes families have cooked for generations, vegetable oil and tomato paste for the sauces that hold a meal together. Enough for a month, so families can cook the food that feels like home, not just survive on what’s left over.
The everyday essentials families said displacement takes away first – toothpaste, shampoo, soap, laundry and cleaning supplies – chosen by the households who’ll use them, not assumed on their behalf.
Containing: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoo, Body Lotion, Hand Soap, Laundry detergent, Floor liquid, Dishwashing liquid, Dishwashing sponges, Kitchen Cloths, Chlore solution, Bathroom cleaning solution
A working kitchen is what turns a house back into a home. This pack gives a family everything they need to cook their own meals again — including a small stove and a gas bottle.
Containing: Cooking pot, 6 tablespoons, 6 forks, 6 knives, 6 bowls, 6 plates, ladle, small stove with gas bottle and related accessories.
For families rebuilding after losing their homes: a full cooking set, a stove and gas bottle, mattresses, and summer covers — put together based on what people told us they needed to turn a shelter back into a home.
Our team on the ground issued an urgent callout in June as the humanitarian situation worsened, and we began preparing this response immediately. We work through established partners already active in southern Lebanon, so distribution can move quickly once packs are funded and assembled. Timelines can shift with access and security conditions, but our partners are ready to move as soon as support arrives.
Because looking at this crisis in isolation does an injustice to the people living through it. What’s happening in Lebanon right now isn’t a standalone event – it’s the latest chapter in a cycle of invasion, occupation, and displacement stretching back to 1978. Understanding that history is part of understanding why families need sustained support, not a one-off response to a single news cycle.
Our team on the ground works with the families themselves. Our team’s role is to listen and coordinate, not to guess what’s needed, then to use our expertise to design an appropriate solution. Every pack reflects what displaced communities have directly told our local partners is missing.
A ceasefire framework doesn’t undo the damage of the past year – over a million displaced people, homes and entire villages in ruin, and lost livelihoods remain, regardless of whether fighting continues. Our work continues as long as families need support to rebuild, whether or not the ceasefire holds.
